Have you started your woodworking journey with a killer set of tools but no have place to store them? Maybe you have some experience and would like to expand your hand tools skills? Either way building a traveling carpenters toolbox is a great way to learn some basic joinery and improve you hand tool abilities. I have used this toolbox for the past 10 years, traveling to teach boatbuilding classes and general carpenter jobs. It holds all the tools I need, keeps them clean, dry and organized. A simple but classic design, it uses solid wood, simple joinery, while nails and glue hold it all together. When the box is complete we will learn to install latches, a piano hinge and a leather strap to carry it in comfort. Finally a small till will be built keep all those small bits that roll around the bottom of a toolbox.
Finished box dimension are 12”HX8”WX26”L
