Class description

Making a shaker box is a very satisfying way to learn basic principles of working with wood. If you don’t have space, time, or money to build a wooden boat, this is a great alternative. You will carve a rolling bevel, steambend, plane tight joints, and fasten with copper. The resulting pieces will bring function and beauty to your home or will become an excellent gift for loved ones. This class will provide everything you need to make up to 3 beautiful shaker boxes of different sizes. We will meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings (6pm-9pm) for instruction and have an open-shop day on Saturday (9am-6pm) when you can come to finish your projects at your own pace.
