Class description

Get ready for the paddling season by learning how to build a canoe! You will steam bend ribs, cut accurate joints with sharp hand-tools, lash and rivet together parts into an aesthetically pleasing, trip-worthy watercraft.

Best part? You don't have to do it alone! Bring your family and friends, or make new ones! The class size is 4-6 people to keep it a sociable and enriching activity. We will meet on Wednesdays and Sundays for three weeks. During our last class, we will launch the canoe in a nearby lake, if weather permits. Group discounts available.

March 4-25th:

• Wednesdays 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th 6:30pm - 9:30pm
• Sundays 8th, 15th, 22th  9:30am - 4:30 pm

$500 Instruction fee (per person)

The canoe will be raffled to students for the price of materials ($900) or you can purchase a kit of canoe parts to build your own.
